Sephora Spring Savings Event 2023

Happy Sephora Spring Savings Event Week!!!! This is one sale that I look forward to every year! It’s Spring, we’re all feeling refreshed and seeing sunny weather! We start craving glowy skin and also need a restock on some of our most coveted products. This is a perfect time to stock up & well as treat yoself to a couple of new products you’ve had your eye on!

Below, I’m sharing the products I recommend and use every day + a little more detail on why I love them! Also put together a graphic of a few things I ordered during the sale. I hope this helps!! I’d love to know the products you’re shopping for during the sale – leave them in the comment box below 🙂

  1. Lancome Monseur Big Mascara – I wear the shade Black. Absolutely love this mascara and have been using it for years. The applicator is thicker and I feel like it really coats my short lashes.
  2. Lancome Cils Booster XL Super Enhancing Mascara Primer – This might be the secret weapon to longer lashes. This primer I use under any mascara. I apply one eye at a time and let it dry for just a couple of seconds before applying the mascara. I notice such a difference!
  3. Detox Dry Shampoo – To be honest, I went from Batiste dry shampoo to Detox brand and I’ve never looked back. This spray wins the Allure awards + is so much cleaner than Batiste. It doesn’t leave a white reidue on my brown hair and smells sooo fresh. I wash my hair twice a week and usually by two I start using this shampoo for volume + a refresh.
  4. Charlotte Tilbury Cream Eyeshadow – In shade Walk of No SHame (russet-rose with golden-peach sparkle). I use this eyeshadow during the week when I want to look put together without a full routine. I just apply it with my finger.
  5. It Cosmetics CC+ Cream Illumination with SPF 50+ – I have been using a CC Cream during the day for years. I love the coverage it gives, without feeling cakey. I recently switched to the Illumination kind and looove it. I use shade Medium year round and always feel so glowy just from the product alone. This is also perfect in the summer on beach or pool days because it contains SPF 50!
  6. St. Tropez Self Tan Facial Mist Spray – I’m a big self tanner girly, but I don’t like to apply it to my face! But then I don’t want my face and neck + body to be different shades. The facial mist spray has entered the chat. I spray this as the last step of my nightly routine (or last step of my skincare routine in the morning when I forget to use it at night). It smells so good, feels hydrating, and adds color to your face without breaking you out! NGL I do spray a lot because it’s clear in color so you can’t tell where you’re applying/how much. So Spritz away!
  7. Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray with Vitamin C – I had been using the original setting spray for years and recently switched to the Vitamin C kind. It doesn’t make any difference in your makeup application, so stick to whichever setting spray you prefer (definitely a necessity). I just like the added Vitamin C as the last step in my makeup routine.
  8. Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firm Eye Cream – This product is referred to as “botox in a bottle”. They also have a product for your face, but my fine line concerns are crows feet/around my eyes. You only need a tiny bit (+ shake the bottle first to help with the white residue it leaves) and then I dab the product in the areas I want to firm up, let it dry for 5-10 mins, without facial expressions lol and you will feel your face feeling tighter! Does it mask all of your fine lines? no. But I notice a difference in pictures when I smile using this product vs when I smile without this product. My eyes are bigger, more doe like – because I’m not squinting as much!
  9. Gucci bronzer – This is my summer bronzer, otherwise it’s too dark for me to use year round. But I looove the color. Also makes me feel fancy because Gucci. I would only buy this during the spring sale because I wouldn’t pay full price for something I won’t wear year round. Just being honest.
  10. Laneige Sleeping Mask – everyone raves about the lip mask (which I do have several of and use nightly), but this is the real MVP. First of all, it’s lavender scented so you feel like you’re at a spa! The scent alone should help you fall asleep. And when you wake up, your skin will be so hydrated and dewy. You only use this 2-3 times a week, if that!
  11. Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Perfect Glow Flawless Oil-Free Foundation – highly, highly recommended this as your special occasion foundation. I use shade 7.5 tan, peach as my year round color. Love that it’s oil free for my oily skin. Plus, it feels like silk as you’re applying it. It goes on sooo smooth and you can build the coverage in specific areas. It truly gives a beautiful glow.

My Sephora order is above! I love Monseur Big, but I wanted to try the brush applicator of Idole. I think I might like that for my every day makeup routine vs dramatic lashes that Monseur Big gives. Have you seen the viral Patrick Ta x Alix Earle vidoe?! Don’t sleep on the Eyeshadow Palette. I actually picked that up in stores because I wanted it for the weekend and knew shipping speeds would be slow. It’s absolutely beautiful and I’m so glad I ordered it on sale, vs the regular $70 price. I’ve been hoarding the Juliette wears a gun perfume – any time it’s offered as a free sample on Sephora, I grab one (or two). Finally bought the $30 tester bottle. My toddler & husband always compliment that scent! The Olaplex bonding serum is a restock. I use this every time I wash my hair and it doesn’t make my hair greasy – actually helps with the split ends! I love CC cream for summertime, but i’ve also heard great things about the Ilia skin tint, so I’m going to give this a try!

Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re getting 🙂

Sephora Holiday Sale 2021

The Sephora Holiday Sale opens up to all rewards members starting TODAY!! Use code YAYHOLIDAY for 10%, 15%, or 20%, depending on your member status. It’s a great time to splurge on an item from your wish list, stock up on your faves, or buy gifts. Love their holiday kits and included a few in my top pics (collage above)! I want to quickly review the products in my collage and why I chose them:

Huda Beauty #BombBrows Microshade Brow Pencil – I wear shades Medium Brown and Rich Brown. I like to add contrast so I’ll outline in one shade and then fill in with the other for dimension. The pencil is ultra thin so it makes realistic hair strokes. It’s literally the thinnest tip in the market. Plus I’ve never had any issues with the pigment running or fading throughout the day.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder – first of all, Charlotte Tilbury’s marketing calls to me! The products are so shimmery and all of the containers are gold and white. They’re definitely products you can leave out on the counter and it will look pretty vs cluttered 😉 This setting powder is so light weight! I struggle with oily skin and rarely re-apply this throughout the day! I wear the shade Medium and this also comes in mini sizes if you want to test the product before committing to full size. This setting powder truly gives you a smooth complexion and helps set my under eye concealer. I re-purchased this product during the sale.

Lancome Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara – I honestly used to wear Maybeline Falsies from the drugstore because I couldn’t find a high end mascara that was as volumizing or as thickening as Monsieur Big. Now I’d be curious to try Falsies again to see what I think, lol. I also first apply the Cils Booster primer, but days that I’m just at home and want a swipe of mascara before jumping on a video call, I put on two coats of this mascara and still think it’s magic! It looks so natural and never clumpy. You can purchase the holiday set, or an individual full or mini size.

La Mer Creme de la Mer Moisturizer – I mean, if you really want to splurge….. why not choose this item? The temps are dropping, the heat inside is running (at least here in Ohio) and my skin is suffering. This comes in multiple sizes, ranging from $95 – $530. Whoa. I’ve purchased the smallest size available in a past Sephora sale and it’s perfect for this season. There’s so many benefits of using this cream. TBH, mine didn’t last long enough to allow me to see the benefits but I can attest to how moisturizing it is. I probably wouldn’t use this during the day, it is a little thick and I’m not sure how it would look under makeup IMO

Another splurge item is the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Perfect Glow Flawless Oil Free Foundation – Medium to tan, neutral color 6.5. I just looked through my past order to find that and see I purchased this Dec 2020! It’s definitely not my everyday foundation but for the few big events, holidays, or date nights I’ve pulled this out and it’s lasted me a year now. It is medium coverage but also buildable so I normally add another coat of foundation to a problem area. Then my concealer on top of that and voila. As I mentioned with the oily skin, this is a great foundation because it is oil free. The foundation gives a really beautiful airbrushed effect but also glowy so not that dried matte appearance that I hate.

The Inkey List Hyalauronic Acid – Best hyaluronic serum and it’s under $10 (More with code YAYHOLIDAY). Another perfect item to add to your skincare lineup for the dry winter months.

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette – Last Devenmber I also ordered this eyeshadow palette in color Pillow Talk Palette of Pops. I definitelyy wanted this shimmery set for the holidays. They’re beautiful and pigmented so really make a statement. Outside of Christmas and NYE, I wore this for a wedding this year. So not something I wear very often, but they’re beautiful and I’ll def wear again this holiday season.

Amika Blowout Buffet Blow Dryer Brush Set – I haven’t used this product but when I saw my stylist in October I asked her about the Revlon blow dry brush I use and how damaging it is for your hair. She recommended the Amika brush instead. I knew there was the holiday sale upcoming and I found the brush in a set with detangling primer and dry shampoo. All three for under $100!

Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Eye Temporary Eye Tightener – This has been on my wish list but sold out for such a long time!! It restocked slightly before the sale started but I took my chances and waited until I could shot the sale. Luckily, it’s still available and I was able to order. Apparently it’s a quick-fix treatment that helps tighten, firm, and smooth the eye area. I’m going to pray it’s like a miracle botox (without the needles).

Laneige Midnight Minis – I keep one of these lip masks by my bed and apply every night. They hydrate and nourish lips by the morning. I really struggle with chapped lips and these really help.

Olaplex Healthy Hair Essentials – This is the first item I added to cart. This might be the best holiday kit. It includes full size items of shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, and an oil I’ve never used before (but excited to try). I first ordered the shampoo & conditioner when I was 4 month PP and losing more hair than I’m used to. I use it about once a week, mostly because of the price but it also repairs my hair so well, I don’t think I need to it more than 1 x week. Highly highly recommend for a good hair day!

Recent Sephora Haul

I placed a recent Sephora order because I needed to stock up on a few products. The first item added to my cart were the Isle of Paradise self tanning drops – these tanning drops saved me last summer! I had a newborn and knew that I wouldn’t be out in the sun – not to mention our vacation and and other summer plans were canceled but, in hindsight it might have been the best thing to happen to a new family! Anyway, I love the scent of these tanning drops, they’re so easy to use – mix with moisturizer and apply the night before or in the morning and voila – natural bronze glow! I use the dark drops on my body and the medium drops on my face.

Vital Protein Collagen – another holy grail! I mix one scoop of collagen with my coffee in the mornings. It dissolves quickly and doesn’t add any other flavor to my coffee. I started using this product in my 4th month of post partum – you know, when you start losing chunks of hair 🙁 I wish I would have known about collagen sooner – it’s even pregnancy safe and helps with hair, skin, nails, and joints! I feel like this product really helped with hair regrowth – the two times I’ve been to the salon, my stylist has complimented my length, texture, and regrowth! So I’d like to thank the collagen!

Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip – I ordered these because I like having a product that will hydrate my lips during the day. I also didn’t want something with color because I don’t wear a lot of makeup during the day. I ordered the coconut and it smells great and keeps my lips plumped and hydrated.

7 day makeup eraser set – I typically use makeup wipes to remove stubborn eye makeup but I’d love to eliminate that type of waste and find something reusable that’s also going to be good for my skin. You can also use these pads to apply toner. I am loving how easy it is to remove makeup with these cloths – all you need is water! The warmer water the better – just hold it on my eye for a few seconds so the fibers lift my mascara. Again, I haven’t been wearing a lot of makeup but, when I do, I forget how annoying it is to take off eye makeup. Then I wash my face and pat it dry on my white towel. I’ve definitely been able to tell a difference by seeing what my towel looks like lol!

Laneige Lavender Water Sleep Mask – the directions say to use 1-2 times per week and wash off in the morning. I’ve been applying this on Friday nights because a) who doesn’t want to start their weekends with hydrated and plump skin and b) the lavender scent is so nice and calming it makes me believe I’m getting a good night sleep. No alarm clocks on Saturday so I try my best to sleep in until the baby wakes me up!

Inkey List Hyalauronic Acid Hydrating Serum – I use both morning and night as the first step after my cleanser to hydrate different layers of skin. The bottle is pretty small but all you need is a pea size to pat onto your face and neck. I’ve been loving the Inkey List products. They’re vegan, clean, and make my skin feel really good! I haven’t had any reactions to their products and am definitely seeing a difference in the appearance of my skin.

Inkey List Polyglutamic Acid – This is the last step of my skincare routine morning and night. This is a hydrating serum that plumps brightens and evens skin tone and reduces the appearance of fine lines. It’s also a great makeup base/primer.

Urban Decay Hydromaniac Glowy Tinted Hydrator Foundation – I love throwing this on in the mornings. It’s a thin foundation with all the benefits: coverage, visibly brighter skin, and improved skin hydration. This is perfect for those days I need to turn my camera on for a conference call! I’m in the color Light Medium Neutral.

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Super Cindy – This is a muted nude (matte lipstick) but it’s a very pretty color. Again, I don’t wear a lot of makeup during the week, but when I have to use my camera and throw on a little makeup, adding a nude lipstick completes my look without making me feel like my lip color is too bold. I still look and feel very natural but it boosts my confidence knowing I have some makeup on lol!
